4 out of 5 stars its ink and it works   July 12, 2010
Dr. B. C. Burrows (Bristol UK)
lives up to the canon brand - good to go, better than many unbranded inks, but you do pay for it

3 out of 5 stars Ink Cartridge - monopoly   June 29, 2010
Cally (UK)
The Canon ink cartridges work fine - but why, oh why are they so expensive? Amazon's price is competitive but this review is about the basic fact that Canon are having a laugh!!

Yes, I could buy so called compatables, but after trying that with an HP printer with negative results, I am too afraid to try with my new posh Canon printer. The manufacturers must be laughing all the way to the bank!

Next time I buy a printer, the price of the cartridges [therefore running cost] will be a major factor in my purchase decision.

This item was sent as a loose cartridge and not in Canon packaging so suspect it was a refill. This has not happened before.

2 out of 5 stars Does not appear to be genuine Canon cartridge   June 1, 2010
K. Smith (Kent, England)
I have just used this cartidge and my printer tells me it's not a genuine Canon cartridge and using this will invalidate any claim I have with Canon - I always make sure I buy genuine products and am rather disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars It has to be Canon   May 26, 2010
Mr. R. G. Battersby (London, England)
As a photographer, image quality is paramount. These cartridges teamed with Canon paper reall do give superb print quality (dependent on you printer model). In my opinion and experience one has to buy genuine Canon original cartridges (and paper for photos) to get the best quality consistency and reliability. They're well made with minimal packaging and in-printer functions for testing, cleaning and aligning all work seemlessly. A nice novelty is the integration of LEDs into the cartridges which shows, with varying flashes, the level of ink inside them.

Yes, they're more expensive, though not by vast amaounts, but you're paying for the quality and if that's what's important to you then this is what you need to buy.
