Lightweight, small, simple, and accurate, just what I needed. Bonus points, includes a AA battery so you can used it right out of the box. Simple operation and easy controls.

A neat fit in your pocket piece of kit. Easy to use and accurate, compared to alternatives can be bought at a reasonable price, nicely finished. If your Weston has given up the ghost as mine did I would recommend this to you.

a Fantastic pice of kit simple to use . using the meter in my city & guilds course helps me no end to use my DSLR im manual mode , a goood meter to use for flash indoor & out door metreing,

As a photography film student I was in the search for a light meter since our film cameras dont have a built in flash meter ( in this case de arri sr3 ) At school we use the sekonic 758 the most advanced sekonic flash meter. I was under a budget so I decided to go with the L-308S and I am so glad I did. It is a breeze to use. You have the option to put the shutter in film mode. It is so light weight. It fits easily in any pocket. The best part is that it uses a AA battery and that is it. Other light meters use special batteries that are harder to find and usually you can only buy them at specific shops.
In conclusion it is a great light meter. I highly recomended. Personally I prefer the L-308S over the other Sekonic light meters.

I bought this to replace my old L-308 model, which I have had for about 14 years. It finally gave up on me because one of the batteries in it leaked and it went downhill from there. However, testament to a really good simple light/flash meter. The L-308S has more features than the old L-308, in that it is set for Digital photography, this includes an ambient light cover, as well as more information on the screen. This is a very light, easy to use meter and if it gives me as much service as my old L-308 I will be well pleased.
