My Memory July 29, 2010 boatphotos 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is absolutely fine - I am recording HD video on a Canon 7D with no problems. My disappointment was the delivery time - about 5 days. I had wanted the cards for a specific project and they did not arrive in time. Most businesses now deliver next working day. "My Memory" need to speed up their act.
WORKS WELL WITH CANON 7D May 5, 2010 Sam Palmer (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
BOUGHT A CHEAP FAKE CARD OFF EBAY SO DECIDED TO BUY CARD FROM AMAZON AND WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED, VERY FAST DELIVERY AND CAN HANDLE THE DEMANDS OF MY CANON 7D....HAPPY ALL ROUND, AND BEST OF ALL IS IF YOU BUY FROM AMAZON IT WONT BE A FAKE.
Very Fast! March 26, 2010 M. Sutherland (Scotland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Most of my Photography tends to be Landscapes and therefore I haven't been too bothered about the read/write speeds of my cards. Recently however, I had a go at some action shots at a local moto-cross meeting. I use a Nikon D200 which I believe is rated at 5fps. I found that I was missing a number of opportunities once the buffer was full and while the camera was writing to the card.
I'm aware that the read/write speed is a combination of both the camera and the cards capabilities and was a bit worried that the extra cost of a fast card may be wasted if the camera was the weak link. However, I find this card is a huge improvement.
I ran a simple test indoors on the D200 with an existing card (2GB 100X). I set it to max fps and i got 21 shots before the buffer was full. I waited 61 seconds before the camera had finished writing these to the CF card.
I then ran the same test with this new card. This time I got 23 shots before it was full and the camera only took 30 seconds to write the data to the card. A substantial improvement which gets the card 5 stars from me.
Superb Card March 4, 2010 Zappasnake (Cumbria UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought one of these to try and get the fastest burst shot speed out of my new Canon 50D. Quite simply the results were stunning.
You do however need to make sure that your camera can get the benefit from this type of card, otherwise you will only get the results that you would from Lower spec cards- and waste money.
The best recommendation I can give is that I bought one about 6 months ago and have since bought another for my back-up camera body and am about to buy a third simply to ensure that I have enough card space for long photoshoots.
Fast and does everything it should. January 26, 2010 The Lotus Eater (York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This Lexar card writes at 300x speed, which is 45MB/sec. This is easily fast enough to maintain 5fps continuous shooting for around 25 photos using cRAW on my Sony A700 DSLR camera.
8GB is a nice size too, as it holds just short of 600 photos shot in cRAW on my camera.
