Product Description If you ever suffer from tinnitus ringing in the ears after gigs or clubbing, look no further! The all new MusicSafe Pro Attenuating Generic Earplugs are an absolutely huge hit with musicians & DJs alike, featuring a unique filter design allowing high frequencies to pass, ultimately providing the user with the advantage of receiving a brilliant natural and clean sound without dampened or muffled results. The Alpine pack includes three earplugs as standard, ruling out the need to purchase a whole new set, should you lose one of the plugs. Complete with three different filter sets with different attenuation rates as well as an insertion tube & storage container, the user is given the choice of which filter to use depending on the venue & sound level. The choice is down to personal preference, however the guidline below gives an indication as to the suitability of each filter: WHITE Filter for low level music e.g. Pubs, Bars. SILVER Filter for live Gigs and Clubs GOLD Filter for performing DJs Attention: Specific Filter use is down to personal preference. The above examples are simply a guidline provided for approximate reference. Please try each Filter to decide which level is best suited for the venue you are in. If you still suffer from tinnitus ringing in the ears even after wearing the MusicSafe Pro, please switch to a Filter with a greater attenuation level, or consult your GP.

Musicsafe Pro Ear plugs - disappointing August 6, 2010 Bournemouth Pete 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a set of these to see if they were a better bet than the Etymotic Eesearch ER15 earplugs that I have been using. I'm a live sound engineer and often use earplugs as I'm packing up (my band has finished and the DJ has come on!)
They seem to work well enough and being able to adjust the different attenuation levels by fitting the different inserts is good. I'm not sure how flat the attenuation curves are though and the Silver and Gold ones do take out a lot of the HF.
The major flaw is that the whole item is very short - when you get them adequately seated in your ears it's virtually impossible to extract them using fingers alone! The little plastic insertion tool is of little use for getting them out either, and you have to use tweezers or long nose pliers (from my gig toolbox) to pluck them out. Hardly ideal! This is a major shortcoming and explains why I do not use these any more. I've gone back to my ER15s which have a longer stalk so are no problem to insert and extract.
Seem to do the job! June 7, 2010 J. A. Kennedy (U.K.) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought these for my son who tells me they work. A further good point is he says they are comfortable (they can be trimmed to fit ear better).
My second pair of Alpines :) April 27, 2010 Mr. R. Counsell (England) I like these a lot
Quality
Comfort
Portability - I got a tube with a keyring with the pack (no need to open my gig bag or look for them)
50% extra free lol - One extra. This applied to my previous Alpines which I lost. Now guess what? I didn't lose the spare one and now I still have two pairs even though I lost one pair and because with this pack I got the keyring tube and the case they can both be stored hygenically.
I wouldn't get anything else.
Only downside is that you really do have to speak LOUD when wearing them until you get used to it.
No good for me February 24, 2010 Six (England) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The stem on these plugs is small. They come with an inserter to get them into the ear which I found next to useless. Having manually inserted a plug I found that the portion remaining outside the ear canal, that you must grasp for removal, was tiny. The filter, that you insert into the stem and that determines the level of protection, became detached and I had to employ tweezers to remove the plug from the ear canal. For a while I thought I was going to have to attend casualty before heading off to my gig. Badly designed and for me a complete waste of money.
Excellent ear plugs September 28, 2009 DanV 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These ear plugs are comfortable and fit well. They give good clarity when listening to music, although there is a small dropoff of the higher frequencies.
An important advantage over similar ear plugs (e.g. Elacins) is that they can be trimmed to size if you don't want so much of the 'stalk' to be visible.
They come in a useful plastic case that attaches to a key fob. It would be even more useful if the carrying case was slightly smaller, though.
