 Headphones "on the move" July 23, 2010

I bought this product as I needed a no-nonsense headphones that would play music whilst I was training and know they wouldn't fall off - for any reason!
I run for 2 hours at a time and at no time do I feel they will come off or cause me to start fiddling with them to keep them in place.
The sound quality is very good too. Would highly recommend them.

I had the old version of these, the PMX70 headphones. The old ones finally gave up two years later.
If the new PMX80 Sports last half as long, then it's money well spent.
Comfortable, sound quality is really good and I've already been running in the rain, so they really are waterproof!
One thing that bugs me a little though, when I sweat or it's raining, the water runs down my ear and into the headphones more than my old PMX70s. This causes the music to get louder and the bass gets a bit louder. I end up having to wipe the headphones and ear to dry it up a bit This is probably the shape of my ears though.
Other than that, thumbs up.

I get worried when it comes to buying certain products because there really is so much choice out there. These headphones, suggested by many others REALLY don't let you down. The sound is perfect. Quite Base strong compared with normal i-pod ones but fantastic for all sports wearing and also day to day use. The only reason why it didn't get 5stars, when laying on a bench to do weights i.e. Bench press. the wrap around band which goes behind your head seems to sometimes move the phones out of the ear when pressing against the bench mat. (Understand??) This can be a little annoying as it breaks the focus and great sound these headphones always deliver. Great price, great choice, you wont be let down. Unless you do a lot of bench laying exercise, and in that case. Re think.
 Poor build quality - stopped working after 4 weeks July 18, 2010

I initially opted to buy this item through amazon, but when I found out about the long time to delivery I cancelled and bought through ebay (from henrysuperstore).
At first the head phones appeared to work ok but I had to put the volume on maximum on my SanDisk Sansa Clip device to hear well - at the time I actually put this down to the player, not the head phones.
After around 4 weeks usage in the gym the left ear phone stopped working properly - it would provide sound intermittently or not at all. I opened up the ear phone hoping to see the fault, it opens very easily by taking off the rubber band. Inside the speaker is connected with two very fragile looking wires. Maybe all headphones look very fragile on the inside - but to me the device does not look at all "rugged".
I replaced the item with Philips SHQ4000 (bought from HMV for £40) plugged them into my player, and was nearly deafened by the volume which I had to previously use. The sound quality is a lot, lot better (also the item is also more expensive).

Love them. researched and read reviews before purchasing, was concerned about some of the comments (I think one mentioned bleeding ears!!) They were slightly uncomfortable when I first tried them on but just readjusted their position a little bit and they were fine. I also found the fact that the buds face forward strange to start with, but quickly got used to this. They do not block out all sound and on a windy day I do have to 'up' the volume a bit, however this is a minor inconvenience when compared with the constant falling out of my previous earphones whilst running. I use an arm 'pocket' for my ipod and use the clip (attach it to my top) that comes with the headphones everytime to keep the wire in place.I only use the headphones for running though and use my earphones at other times as they can be kept in a pocket when not in use unlike the headphones . I am glad I bought these, and if I lose them or they break I can imagine that I would buy the same model again.Also great price Amazon : )
