Excellent September 4, 2010 Alpha Mike (UK) Makes the best of a poor adsl connection - I live miles from the exchange; Runs cool;stable; very sophisticated.
Best router I have ever had. Very strongly recommended.
Great ADSL Router September 2, 2010 Mr. P. Crowe (Kent, England) I bought this to replace a netgear router that I'd had for about 4 years. The netgear always ran very hot and the signal strength was causing problems with our new laptop, connections kept dropping out.
I read the reviews and selected the Billion. Signal strength is now excellent even in the garden and the setup was easy to follow. The unit runs cool and I'm very happy with it.
Billion Bipac 7300N Router August 30, 2010 P. GILL (ENGLAND) This was an upgrade purchase for an ageing Belkin F5D7633 wireless G router. The technological demands of my household were crying out for something faster and more reliable. I had considered buying a Draytek for some time, but they seemed a little expensive for a home network. Having read positive reviews about the Billion on Amazon and in computer magazines I opted for that instead. And I'm glad I did, so far it does everything I expect of it without protest. The shared broadband connection works fine, the kids can connect their Xbox thingy and Ipods to the internet without any problems. The Billion is a little more expensive than other routers on the market but i'm happy to pay a premium for a reliable broadband connection.
Good initially but failed within 3 days August 26, 2010 LeWa Bought to replace an old Netgear 834G and initiallly seemed fine. Easy to set up, great range & signal strength well above that of the old Netgear.
Sadly, that only lasted 3 days. By the third day the router was dropping wireless communications right left & centre - including Squeezeboxes, Laptops & Wiis. Then it started dropping ADSL internet access to Talk Talk and needed resetting (Power on & off) to recapture. It would hold the connection for about 30 minutes & then drop it again. Back came trusty old Netgear - worked perfectly even if less impressive on range. Returned to Amazon and I'm still trying to find a reliable modem router....
Did not work and Billion Bipac could not help August 23, 2010 Ricciarelloderoma I am just at loss for words in having to review this router negatively as I really wanted to use it and still refuse to believe how many problems I had with it, called and wrote to Billion and they could not help.
I tried using this router on two different MacBooks in wireless mode, one of the two computers connected immediately but lost connection completely every time I moved away more than 5 metres from the router, repeated various times the same operation with the other MacBook aluminium computer and it just NEVER connected to the router unless it was in ethernet mode. Reinstalled everything, reset the router various times, had problems configuring with Safari browser and so used Firefox browser, did everything I could mostly following Billion Bipac instructions and... nothing, it never worked. Still in disbelief I had to go back to my basic Zyxel router which sometimes drops the line but at least works with my computers.
