Ordered two that arrived quickly. The first one seem to charge OK and I used it once. Tried to charge the second one and it would not - no sign of life at all, even in the camera. When I attempted to charge the first one again, it failed to start charging until I wriggled it in the charger. Making contact in the camera was also hit and miss so that means that both are faulty but each in a different way and so I have to return both. I will see if Hama do batteries for the G1 as I have bought several(8)spare batteries for previous Panasonic cameras for my wife and myself without problem and they would get five stars.

I bought this battery for my Panasonic G1 and am absolutely delighted with it. It performs as well as the Panasonic if not better and seems to last a lot longer before needing charging. Highly recommended!!!

The battery arrived sooner than anticipated. It charged perfectly well in my Panasonic charger. However, it will not operate with my PANASONIC G2 camera.
On reading the manual is transpires that Panasonic have inserted some software into the G2 so that the camera only recognises a PANASONIC battery. I suspect that Panasonic were losing a load of money on the sale of backup batteries.
Maybe the alternative manufacturers will be able to replicate the software (or something else) so that it will work with the G2.
