Small, well made device September 8, 2010 Sapiter This is a prefect match for any Netbook or PC with no DVD-RW. I purchased a Netbook and soon realized that I had no restore DVD's so if my hard drive went down I would lose Windows and all the applications that came with the netbook. I purchased this to be able to burn my own recovery DVD from the software installed on the HP netbook. And now I have it to hind for other install's and watching DVD's etc.
Quality by a name you can trust September 7, 2010 R. Adams (Midlands,U.K) You get what you pay for but saying that this is an excellent price for a market leader quality brand. It has a slick shiny black finish is easy to operate and comes with full nero disc but worked soon as I plugged into to USB and played DVD without the Nero disc set up needed. It is slim, lightweight but not flimsy and so far I am extremely happy and would highly recommend.
My Samsung External DVD review. September 5, 2010 Agata +looks nice
+no extra power supply needed
+works OK
-quite noisy when starts
-USB extension would be nice feature, as two cables are very close and have to be conected to ports placed next to each other, unfortunately it doesn't have one. -sometimes when reads cd-rom(only, dvds were always OK), stops working, happened twice or three times in two weeks period.
Samsung extenal DVD writer September 4, 2010 Peterlh Does everything one would expect. My handheld, that I use it with, has only two USB ports on the opposite sides of the machine, and I had to buy an extender cable so that I could plug in both USBs. Since the object is to draw power I couldn't use a USB hub on the same port.
Samsung DVD rewriter August 29, 2010 Coco 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After installing Nero software this caused more problems than it solved. To carry out cetain tasks i was reminded that i had to upgrade my software at extra cost. Not what i assumed when i bought the rewriter which after all that i have said above is a very good piece of kit.
