 Great Optical Zoom, solid feel. September 7, 2010

Bought this camera due to the huge optical zoom - I was not disapointed. Took on holiday and got some great results in various conditions using the auto settings - could probably get even better ones if I read the manual and fiddled with the settings but that seems a bit defeatist!

12 times zoom is very good and the camera itself is very good very compact so its easy to carry around slips into pocket easily all the features req are there

This camera has to be the best purchase I have made for a long time. The picture quality is excellent as is the movie mode.
It is a mix for all. If you are a novice and simply want to use the automatic mode then it produces exceptional results and adapts well to all conditions. However if you venture onto the scene modes and manual settings, I found this gave me all I needed to keep me busy.
I would thoroughly recommend this camera to anyone who is thinking about buying it.

I bought this as a replacement for another Panasonic camera that was I a year old. This had been dropped and was not worth fixing. I was going to get the same one again but was glad I didn't. I love this camera. The build is good and feels solid. It take beautiful pictres, nice and clear. Lots of different scenes to use and I'm still working some of the features out. I would definately recommend this lovely camera to anyone.

I really like this compact camera, good amount of optical zoom in a small body, pictures are excellent quality, and macro shots are really impressive, I recently sold my old and bulky Nikon coolpix 8800 and replaced it with this, it was bulky and not very convenient to carry around, and this compact camera has replaced it with flying colours. Obviously manual controls are limited, but these can often be manipulated in photo editing if needed.
